You have done a great job with this website. I still say without the website the USAWA would not survive.
I just thought I would give anyone who is interested an update on my hip surgery. I had the right hip replaced on Thursday afternoon about 2:30. That evening the doctor came in and said they were going to do another x-ray on the hip.
He thought there was a fracture of the femur. Turns out there was, so I had another surgery Friday afternoon to repair the femur. They put a steel plate around the break, some screws, and some wire around the plate and bone. I came home on Monday, must have 2 weeks in home therapy, then see the Doctor again.
And I did do my postal lifts on the 28th.I want one again this year.
Art Montini and I will be there.

I think you definitly lose strength, speed, and flexibility as you get older. I Know a lot of flexibility problems are caused by joints wearing out as we age. ALMOST everyone who has been active in sports their whole life is going to have some kind of joint problems in their life. I found that as I passed my early 60’s my strength started to decline at a faster rate than before. I found that the quick lifts did decline much faster than the slower type lifts. In my case a lot of my problems are caused by my hip joints wearing out.
I would love to be there, but I am leaving for Australia for the Gold Cup on the 23rd, and it will too much to try to make the trip to Missouri that close.
Draven Kressly and Austin Brewer, you don’t have which hand used for the dumbbell cheat curl and the one hand deadlift.
