First of all, congratulations to all the lifters who competed in the World Meet over the weekend. Not only are they great lifters, but great people as well. And my sincere compliments to Denny, Steve and all those who made this meet a great Success. Finally, I want to apologize to Denny for not being able to compete on Sunday, due to some nagging aches and pains and some personal issues (nothing to do with drugs or alcohol, I assure you). Also, to the many lifters and spectators who encouraged me, good or bad lift. I wish you all the best in lifting and life. Thank you.

Thanks for the note Barry. I hope everything resolved since Sunday. I was looking forward to meeting you, but I had a personal obligation on Saturday. Hopefully we can share the competition platform soon!

Thank you for the kind message, Sanjiv. I believe I just needed a timeout from competitive lifting for a while, but unfortunately, my timing may have been off. Sorry you couldn’t make it to the meet, as you are doing some impressive lifting and also doing so many great things for the USAWA. You’re dedication and enthusiasm for the sport is amazing. Don’t want to slight the great old-timers and current lifters who are keeping the sport alive and well, also. Hope to meet you at some point, so until then, good luck to you, your family and your lifters.
