1999 Angels' Camp Strength Picnic
(Results below)
A hardy group of individuals got together at Angels Camp for the
Second Annual Strength Picnic. A total of 11 lifters participated,
with Bill Clark, the founder and originator of the U.S.A.W.A., making
a trip out from Columbia, Missour, just for that reason.
The ages ranged from 10yr old Tim Sink to 86yr old Jim Berkheimer.
The Harness lift and the Hand&Thigh lift were both contested, along
with some deadlifting and Clean and Jerks.
No awards were given, but a fun time was had by all. We expect to
see some of the totals go up next year, as the lifting equipment was
still in the developmental stage, with Thom Brown promising to upgrade
to normal U.S.A.W.A. standards.
The results for the meet are listed below.
